Yes, we really need your help, even if you can’t speak Italian. You know, our site has a forum, too, but it’s not so full of people, especially in these days, when there aren’t Nightwish shows. Since the site is a very visited board, we are very sorry that it isn’t the same for the forum. It would be very nice if when you visit the site you visited also the forum. The English section is still so empty… It doesn’t need much time, and you can register for free! There are many sections, in which you can talk about Anette, Nightwish and any band you like. Indeed, we are very curious about your musical tastes and perhaps we will discover band we didn’t know! Besides, graphics has been updated with a new notice-board with all the news, the pics topic is always full of the newest pics and in the media section you can find a huge amount of bootlegs that haven’t been uploaded in the site yet. Axel Söderlund, A-lite, from Luleå, worked as DoP (director of photography) during the making of the music video. Here he gives Film Arc the inside scoop from the set. The name of the single is still confidential.
Behind the production are the companies: Village Road Film (Umeå) and Helsinki Pump.
Director is Owe Lingvall and Production Coordinator is Mirka Rantanen. The video was shot with a RED-camera. This is the second collaboration between Director Owe Lingvall and the Finnish supergroup The Rasmus. Owe directed the video for the single ‘Justify’ in 2008.
- When I spoke to the band on the set, they told me that ‘Justify’ was their all time favourite amongst their own videos, says Axel.
The Rasmus new video was shot in Helsinki, during one very long day, with a Finnish crew except for Director and DoP. The whole music video was shot against green screen which will be replaced with an empty skyscraper filled city.
- At this stage we cannot give away much details concerning content. But the basic idea is that the artists move through this empty city, changing their surroundings in different ways. But we did a lot of walking. And to achieve this in a studio without having to light enormous areas we bought a treadmill which was modified and painted completely green, it worked like a charm, except for a few stumbles here and there. So if anyone is in need of a green treadmill, you can rent it from Village Road, says a smiling Axel.
The postproduction will be handled in Umeå during the summer and the release will be in August.

Lauri: “I just made a music video, we recorded the song together with this Nightwish singer Anette Olzon. And it’s kind of this ballad thing, kind of a lullaby, it’s something you can sing to a child, really beautiful, and a very sentimental song. And we made a nice video with Anette last week in Finland, and we kind of put it out maybe in October or something like that.”

John Two-haws - who we all know for his great contribution to the great “Creek Mary’s Blood - joined Nightwish on stage at the Club Oasis in Louisville performing - of course - in Creek Mary’s Blood. The song appears on the setlist replacing Ghost Love Score on the Encore, right before Wish I Had An Angel. It looks like this US tour has a surprise in every show!

Anette Olzon is the lead singer of the Finnish fairytale metalband Nightwish. Resident in Helsingborg, with a career based in Helsinki, she has recently begun to know Stockholm.
